Data Sources

EDAMS-MDMS (Meter Data Management System) is a stand-alone application that is supplied with the following EDAMS applications.

  • Billing & CRM for Energy Sector – for Consumer meter readings and updating of records through DSO special Applications.
  • Energy Transitional Market Model – for Consumer meter readings & Park Meter Readings and Parks Registration.
  • Energy Market Operational system – for Consumer meter readings & Park Meter Readings and Parks Registration.
  • Solar Park Operations – for Park Meter Readings and Parks Registration.

Communication with DSO

EDAMS MDMS System communicates with DSO to synchronize the two systems for various functions like

  • Register new Consumers
  • Register Parks
  • Change Park Owner
  • Synchronize EDAMS database with DSO database in terms of connections, meters, tariffs, connection status and others
  • Replace a meter
  • Charge customer for services provided by DSO
  • Disconnect a customer for non-paying
  • Reconnect a customer after paying
  • Deactivate an account
  • Change Supplier,
  • Change contact details

Request Consumer and Park Readings

Both Scalar (1 reading per day) and interval (reading every 30 minutes or less, depending on DSO setup) can be requested. Raw data readings are kept in a separate database due to the high volume of data coming in daily. These are then processed and used for various reasons, such as:

  • Consumer Readings:
    1. Monthly billing
    2. Energy consumption analysis by customer themselves via Portal
  • Park Readings:
    1. Production analysis
    2. EAC Meter vs Inverter Production
    3. Feed readings into ETMS/EMOS

    View Status

    View status of requests of readings and the readings of Consumers and Parks

    When available, both Scalar and interval. Both sets of readings can be exported to Excel. The actual XML files can also be downloaded for any reason needed

    View any Notifications sent from DSO.

    Some may trigger action for the Utility like in the case of Change Supplier. Email notification is sent to designated persons in such cases to alert them.
